We Have One Purpose
The youth we are mentoring are those who are in need of guidance, whether they seek advice for their future goals and ambitions, or they have stumbled along the way. It is our goal to help them understand and achieve their full potential as a valued contributor to society.
Who We Are
Here at We.HOP, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
WeHOP (We Have One Purpose) was started by Kenny Scott and Miguel Sanchez who through their similar childhood upbringings shared a vision for a youth development program focused on preparing them for the future. Kenny and Miguel met while serving in the United States Navy in 2011. Both had been challenged, exposed to their potential and excelled in their careers by the opportunities presented to them in the Navy. After being honorably discharged from active duty, they wanted to share their experiences with youth who didn’t have that person to challenge, educate and grow them into what they are capable of. That is when the initial concept for WeHOP was conceived. In 2014 it was put to paper, but it wasn’t until the spring of 2017 when it began to be materialized. With the support from their network of friends who shared a similar passion a team was created. In July 2017, WeHOP became a 501 c 3, nonprofit organization. They immediately went to work and today have 4 pillar methods of bringing the community together while serving under privileged families.
